Gatlinburg Skybridge
Located at the top of the iconic SkyLift, 1,800 feet above sea level, the Gatlinburg SkyBridge is the longest pedestrian cable bridge in North America and the most unique experience in the Smokies. At the half way point of the bridge is the famous 30 feet of glass, where you will be atop of the ENORMOUS America flag wafting in the breeze. It IS a sight to behold…
The flag at Gatlinburg SkyLift Park says the flag measured 60 feet in length and took eight volunteers to drape the flag over the SkyBridge.
I believe it…
it was amazing!
The Tulip Tower is a 70' steel tower located off the SkyTrail. You can access the tower by walking over one of two rope bridges. The Tulip Poplar Tree is the state tree of Tennessee, and the Tulip Tower is in memory of the sole Tulip Poplar Tree that survived after the Gatlinburg Wildfires in 2016.
This was an incredible experience, taking in the sights of the mountain, Gatlinburg and the history of the fires.
I highly recommend taking the time to experience the wonders at Gatlinburg Skybridge.
